Cloud Crawl

Cloud Crawl is a procedurally generated /Run for CBR+PNK (although easily adapted to your cyberpunk TTRPG of choice). Inspired by modules like Stygian Library Cloud Crawl is a cyberpunk depth crawl in a micro-sized package.

In the dark, hidden, and out of the way corners of the City unformed Artificial Intelligence seeds are born from the digital sprawl. In a reflex of self defense, the developing AIs generate strange outgrowths where the Virtual intrudes into the Real.

The space within an Intrusion is nebulous and strange, and becomes even more so the deeper the runners get. Things are real, but malleable. Locations are strange reflections, echos, or repeats of one another reflecting the nascent mind within the Heart attempting to grow and learn. Spaces shift and blur into one another, making the experience of traversing the Intrusion surreal and dream-like.

It requires a team of experienced Runners to delve into the Intrusion’s depths to destroy (or retrieve and sell) the Heart to end it.

An Intrusion takes the form of a Binary Tree. Runners enter through the Root Node (Level 0) and may progress deeper into the Intrusion through randomly generated Nodes, finding their way to where the AI has hidden it's Heart. Things get progressively weirder and more surreal as they delve into the digital labyrinth. Can the Runners win past the algorithmically generated Avatar defender and capture the Heart on their final Run?

• An algorithmically generated Avatar set to defend the Heart whose characteristics depends on where the Heart is located within the Tree.
• Ten Locations and Ten Themes which are combined to create a huge number of possible Nodes for the runners to traverse and survive.
